The Event

The time has come for all of the STOC Clans to again gather in the West. This year marks the 10th anniversary of this world renowned event. From the modest early beginnings to the opulent later gatherings of the WeSTern Clan of the ST Owners Club the disorganizers have always strived for the best experience possible for enthusiasts of our special mode of transportation. Novice and expert alike have been treated to the chance to meet and talk to one another while immersed in some of the best motorcycle riding territory in the world. Just as the "Ancient Ones" passed the tradition down through time from year to year, we have endeavored this year to keep the torch burning while holding true to our ancestors' tenets. It is for these reasons that the SoCal tribe of the WeSTOC Clan has chosen the hills and valleys of the Central California Coast in which to assemble possibly one of the best WeSTOCs ever. I know… great and mighty words to be sure, especially in the shadow of so many excellent gatherings in the past. However, it's not braggin' if you can do it, and we believe that in this year's California Dreamin' we have an experience awaiting attendees that will please even the likes of the inimitable Headshakin' and Lucas Tanner.

San Luis Obispo, our venue this year, lies nestled in the Central California foothills, halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco.  The surrounding area consists of rolling hills and green valleys covered with wine vineyards, cattle ranches, and wild oak forests. It is very near to the expansive sugar-white sands of Pismo Beach and the bluffs of the coastal shoreline. Arguably one of America's finest motorcycle roads, Highway 1 twists and climbs its way north from San Luis Obispo through some of the most spectacular scenery along its 740 mile length.

Following in the tradition adopted in Minden last year, WeSTOC will again take place in the post-Labor Day interlude. Most of the tourists will be back at work and their kids back at school, leaving the beautiful roads of central California free of motor homes and campers, and wide open for our enjoyment. The temperatures in SLO and the Central Coast are temperate due to proximity to the Pacific Ocean, and the air is usually clear and cool near the beach and mild to warm the farther inland you go.

After a great deal of scrutiny by the lodging selection committee, Embassy Suites of San Luis Obispo has been selected to host our group. Rooms may be reserved by clicking on the "Hotel" tab at the top of the page.  Don't delay, as there are a limited number of suites at the special WeSTOC rate, and if past performance is indicative, they will go very quickly. Don't miss out! If you only go to one rally this year, this is THE ONE to make!
